Going forward The Hive Rooms will now be under one supplier, PE. This has taken a number of years to strategically organise due to different parts of the site coming on at different times, varying contract lengths, and multiple suppliers. PE have offered the ability to do bespoke contract lengths so that we can align contracts and reduce the stress around admin.

Behind the scenes – Turning a £30k problem into a £2.5k resolution

Finally I should mention that my work at this site work also extended to supporting the landlord of The Hive Rooms, who had been left with one of the buildings, now part of The Hive complex, sitting vacant for over a year after a tenant folded.

The property had slipped onto out-of-contract rates, and a faulty meter only added to the challenge. The result? A looming £30,000 bill.

By stepping in, liaising directly with the supplier, and carefully unpicking the issue, I was able to help reduce that bill down to around £2,500. It took tenacity, patience, and a clear understanding of how these systems work. It also took being sensitive and compassionate towards the Landlords situation as the whole situation felt completely overwhelming! This is exactly where the right support makes a tangible difference.
