There’s something truly special about the way small businesses can support one another. Not just through services exchanged, but through real relationships built along the way.
Over a year ago, I met Katie from Blooms and Bakes, a beautiful little coffee, cakes and flower shop in the heart of Reigate, Surrey. I spotted her painting the outside of her new premises and I went an introduced myself, sharing my services in business support when it comes to utility management. Not long after, we reconnected at a Reigate Business Guild event, and soon I was helping her get her first energy contracts set up with Full Power.
Like many new ventures, there were a few hurdles along the way. From meter upgrades, changes in operations, and some confusing billing issues. But thanks to the brilliant team at Full Power Head Office, everything was resolved with clarity and care, resulting in a really positive outcome for Katie and her team.
Fast forward to this summer, and Blooms and Bakes were ready to host their first big event! A celebration of local creativity, community and collaboration, with social influencers, local media, and fellow small business owners all gathering in their courtyard to celebrate.
So, when Katie invited me to be part of the event as a professional singer, I was thrilled. What a joy to share in the atmosphere, to bring some music to the occasion, and to reflect on the journey. From sorting out energy contracts to standing shoulder-to-shoulder at a packed, vibrant event.
This is the kind of circle of support that makes small business life so rewarding. When we show up for each other, amazing things happen.
